Throughout the pandemic, CASA volunteers continued to regularly interact with their children via phone calls, texts, video chats and outdoor visits. CASA volunteers not only represented children in court (virtual and in-person), but also with doctors, therapists, social service agencies, teachers and counselors ensuring they received the medical, academic, and emotional interventions they deserve.
As Kentucky leads the nation for the third year in a row in child abuse/neglect, CASA must constantly recruit and train volunteers to serve the increasing number of kids in need. CASA fundraises 100 percent of its budget through grants, donations and special events.
With CASA's in-person events on hold until 2022, CASA is holding their first online auction to help raise funds that will be used to recruit, train, and pair more volunteers with children who need them.

3 Tips for Bidding
Take advantage of these three built-in features that can help make your experience a success!
1. USE THE AUTO-BID FEATURE
Auto Bidding allows you to Enter your maximum bid. Your bids will be automatically increased to the next high bid increment without exceeding your maximum bid amount. That way, you don't have to stay glued to the auction site all day. Just set it and forget it!
2. USE THE PURCHASE NOW OPTION
Some items feature a Purchase Now button that lets you seal the deal and win that item instantly. Fortune favors the bold! If you have your heart set on an item, make it yours!
3. EXTEND THE CLOCK WITH BID WARS
If an item receives a bid in the final ten minutes of the auction, it will enter into a Bid War and the end time of that particular item will be extended, in ten-minute increments, until no bids are received. All other items will end at the appointed time. Get competitive and send the game into overtime!

What is an Online Auction?
An online auction allows bidders to participate from their home computers or out and about on their mobile devices. eBay is an example of an online auction. This site is mobile-friendly, so you can keep up on the current activity of items and even bid from your smartphone!
How do I bid on Online Auction items?
You will need to register for an account to start bidding. Click on the REGISTER button and you will be prompted to add your contact information including cell phone, email address. Once you are registered, you are set to bid.
Why is my Credit Card required to bid?
A credit card is required for bidding because the organization wants to ensure that payments will be received promptly. There is the option to change your card at checkout or during the bidding process.
Why am I required to add my cell phone?
We want to ensure that it is easy for you to win the items you want! When you have been outbid on an item, you will receive an outbid text notification. Be aware that with the Auto Bidding Feature, if the person you are bidding against has set a MAX BID, you will not get a notification until that bidder has reached their MAX BID amount.
How do I start to Bid?
From there you will click on the BID NOW button of the item that you would like to bid on. Next, you will select the BID $$$ button.
How will I know if I've won an item?
Winning bidders will receive a winner notification email asking you to log in and see what you have won. From there, your payment can be made and once the payment is made, you will receive a PAID IN FULL invoice.
This auction is using Bid Wars...how does that work?

What is the MAX BID button for? Is that AUTO BIDDING?
