Summer is in full swing! If you’re looking for something different to do with your children or grandchildren, come spend a day in Norton Commons and pay a visit to one of CASA's Community Partners, Sugar Tree Sweet Shop.
Owners Maria and Travis Cunningham have chosen to set up shop at Norton Commons because of its parks, playgrounds, restaurants, a lake, shops for adults and kids, and more. Families can make a day out of the neighborhood attractions and finish it off with a dessert at Sugar Tree!

Maria said she and husband, Travis, both grew up loving all things sweet and vividly remembers the joy and memories a candy/ice cream shop can bring to children. What started as an idea has turned into a business, and both are enjoying the ride.
Maria shared that the best thing about being a small business owner is watching your ideas come to life and seeing people enjoy it. Having people approach her family and say, “Our kids love your shop!”, is the best compliment they can ever receive. They set up the shop to give kids a fun childhood memory.
Maria and Travis firmly believe that all children should have a safe, loving home. They love that CASA works towards this goal for every child and they will always support a mission to better the lives of children.
The couple would love to see Sugar Tree Sweet Shop continue to thrive and grow in the Norton Commons community. Their goal is to always stay unique, fun, friendly, and creative for kids and families. Sugar Tree Sweet Shop has something for everyone from milkshakes, sundaes, cones, chocolates, candy and more. In fact, you may even feel like a kid again!
