23 Years of Showing Up: Lee Staudter’s Commitment to CASA

For more than two decades, Lee Staudter has been a dedicated advocate for young people navigating difficult circumstances. Since becoming a CASA volunteer in 2003, Lee has helped ensure the voices and needs of those she serves are heard while working toward the best possible outcomes.

Lee became a CASA because she wanted to make a difference during challenging times. Her favorite part of the work is seeing positive responses and progress, especially when a young person or family begins to move forward.

Over the years, Lee has experienced many memorable moments. Two that stand out include a CASA teen speaking at the annual breakfast about her accomplishments and the impact of CASA, and another teen who participated in multiple organized runs and proudly shared about meeting her goals at school.

For Lee, these moments capture what makes CASA so meaningful: seeing young people grow, gain confidence, and recognize what they are capable of achieving.

After 23 years, Lee continues to serve because of the reward she finds in observing the small steps forward made along the way. Her commitment is a powerful reminder that meaningful change often happens one day at a time and having a consistent advocate can make a difference.

We are incredibly grateful to Lee for 23 years of showing up, speaking up, and believing in the potential of those she serves.
