CASA Advocate rises to the challenge to help children

ree

Since 2018, Kevin Evans has been advocating for the best interests of children as a CASA, or Court Appointed Special Advocate. "I became a CASA because I saw this as an opportunity to help children in a difficult situation, at no fault of their own," shared Evans. His favorite parts of being a CASA include providing continuity, developing relationships, and giving children hope for the future.

Dawn Mudd, the Advocacy Supervisor on staff at CASA of the River Region who oversees Evans, and several other volunteers describes him as a wonderful and dedicated advocate. "Kevin works hard to make life better for children and does not shy away from difficult cases, that is for sure," said Mudd.

Evans reflects on his experience as a CASA and sees the successes and challenges. "To date, every case I’ve worked on has ended in re-unification, which is encouraging." He has also encountered some frustration in dealing with the family court system and even admitted that, at times, he has wanted to quit. "If I can't hang in there and navigate the system, what chance does a child have?  I remain active and engaged in my cases because that helps my kids and encourages my fellow CASAs. We just need to try to help one child at a time."

CASA of the River Region is grateful for Kevin Evans and our other amazing volunteers who devote their time, energy, and hearts to serving children. Their efforts make a difference!

I discovered a banner ad on a sports blog showcasing a modern take on the classic chip-drop, so In Australia I explored plinko. The instant-play design meant no downloads or signup hassles—just click to drop and watch the action. I tried various entry points on the board, noticing subtle shifts in outcomes depending on lateral placement. My partner peeked over and teased me about treating it like physics homework, but after a few successful runs, they admitted the tension of waiting for the chip to settle is oddly thrilling. It’s a perfect five-minute distraction that packs a punch without overstaying its welcome.

Greetings, while trekking in Rishikesh, I pulled out my phone and tapped https://aviator.in/mostbet during a break by the Ganges. The live ascent chart reminded me of the river’s flow. I lost two early bets, then adjusted my stake size and nailed a high multiplier exit, covering losses and buying a round of chai for my fellow hikers. It felt like conquering a rapid on a rafting trip—brief, intense, and rewarding.
