History

CASA of Shelby and Spencer counties was included in the River Region in 2008. There are approximately 42,000 residents living in Shelby county and another 17,000 in Spencer county. Thanks to the efforts of the Shelby/Spencer Advisory Council (see below), this program continues to grow and be successful. Judge John David Myles presides over Family Court in Shelby and Spencer counties. Having one judge adds to the sense of consistency in Family Court and helps to ensure continuity of services.
